At the 2022 AGM we agreed to have a gravel cycle during 2023.
Aidan has devised a 41K route based around Hogans' Wood near Ardglas / Dungourney. The route features 30% tarmac and 70% forest road similar to Moanbaun Wood.
Any kind of Mountain Bike, Gravel bike or Cyclo-Cross Bike should be suitable to take part.
The starting point for the cycle is at Eircode P51 D8YV.
This is approx 15 mins drive from Watergrasshill.
There is plenty of parking available.
The easiest way to get to the starting point from Watergrasshill is:
Down to Dr Barrys's Bridge
Take the R628 for Tallow
At O'Learys Cross (which is the turnoff to the left for Castlelyons) take a Right Turn on the L1526 for Dungourney
Stay on the road to Dungourney and take a left at the cross roads after 7.5 Km
Be ready to roll at 09:00.
