Reminder Hillfest Duathlon on Saturday June 3rd. Marshals to meet at 1130 in WGH NS. Cakes to be dropped from 1100 onwards to Arts Centre.


Thanks again to all those who have agreed to marshal for the upcoming Duathlon on Saturday. We have 14 club members involved. 
Can all marshals assemble at Watergrasshill Nation School (NS) at 11:30 on Saturday June 3rd please.
Note there will not be any parking at the NS as it is being used as the transition area.
Parking will be available opposite the Hut bar
The marshals will be distributed at key locations along the cycle route which runs from the National School to the roundabout above Grandons
Some of you will require access to a vehicle / bike to get to your location. 
The marshals briefing will be held at 12:00.
The participant briefing will be held at 12:15
The race commences at 12:30. 
For those providing cakes, thank you too; they can be dropped off in the Arts Centre from 11:00 on Saturday.
Noel Linnane and Donal will be performing bike safety checks following sign-in. 
Participant sign-in is in the National School from 10:30-11:30
Participants will receive a more detailed email describing race details.

If you are available to marshal or in a position to provide some cakes and have not been in touch please let me know
Marshals are required from approx. 11:45-14:00 to supervise the bicycle leg of this event.

Planning continues for the upcoming duathlon being run in conjunction with the Watergrasshill Community Association, Over the Hill C.C and Watergrasshill A.C.
Please mark the date in your diary, it has the potential to be a memorable event, but will require support from Club members. 
Club member support is requested for the following:
  1. Marshalling of the bike course, between 12:00-14:00 on Saturday June 3rd. If you are available to Marshal please let Brian Atkinson or Mick O’Leary know
  2. Preparation of Sandwiches / Cakes to be served after the event, please advise Brian Atkinson if you can assist here. 
  3. Individual and Team entries for the event. If you would like to perform the “bike” leg and have someone else complete the “run” legs then please let Brian Atkinson or Nigel Carroll know. There may be willing participants from the Athletics Club who you can be paired up with.
