Additional Details of the fund raiser event are as follows:
Irish Paralympian Shane Ryan (my nephew) is preparing to row the Atlantic this spring and I am organising this club spin as a fundraiser to support his adventure.
Shane is visually impaired and represented Ireland in the London 2012 Paralympic Games. He is an avid cyclist and we compete every year in the national paraleague, tandem category.
Shane is constantly fundraising for charities like Vision Sports Ireland, Guide Dogs Ireland etc but this time the funds will be going to support this adventure. All remaining money will go to Vision Sports Ireland.
During the event Shane will be part of a 5 man crew, rowing in constant rolling shifts of 2 hours on, 2 hours off, for nearly 2 months.
They will be completely self supported, no back up crew or support boat. Just them and the Atlantic Ocean. To do this as an able bodied rower is an amazing life achievement but to do it without sight will be a phenomenal accomplishment.

Please support this event, non DRvC club riders are welcome to join us.
If you wish to donate on the day there will be a collection bucket at the start of the spin and online donation is available on the link below.
