2022 sees the cycle return to its traditional start and finish from Marymount after two years of Covid disruption.
Some parking available in staff car park with overflow parking across road at the dog track
As usual there will be prizes for 'Best Club' and 'Best Costume' as well as spot prizes on the day. Cyclists are encouraged to dress themselves in festive attire and to decorate their bikes!
Well done to Over The Hill crew who won best supported club at the 2021 event.
The event will be well signposted and will have the support of motorcycle marshals and support vehicles throughout.
There are two route options this year, a 60km Midi Cracker and an 80km Maxi Cracker, with route details below.
There is no event registration fee as participants are instead asked to make a voluntary donation. Marymount needs to raise over €3.0m each year to continue providing vital services so the organisers are hoping for a huge turnout of generous participants and appealing to all Cork clubs and cyclists to join them for this year’s edition. Every participant will be helping Marymount with its vital mission and hopefully share in a greater sense of the meaning of Christmas.
Participants are encouraged to register online and can collect wristband with emergency number on the morning.
On Sat 3rd December 2022 at Marymount, Curraheen Road, Cork T12 A710. Plan is to have tent at back of hospital.
The official start for main group is 10.00am but desks will be open from 8.30 for those that want to head out earlier.
How much is registration?
In the spirit of the event we do not charge a fee to take part but instead, ask for a donation from all participants who get on their bikes for Marymount.
Payment is by way of voluntary donation, please pre-register before the event here on Eventbrite. There will be a prize for the most generous club.
What do I need to do?
As it is a Christmas Cycle we would love to see you get in the festive spirit and dress up your bikes and yourselves. Please see our Facebook page for pictures from previous years' events. There will be prizes for the best costume and a plaque for the best-supported club.

Please practice safe cycling on the open roads and thank you for helping to raise funds on behalf of Marymount.
